Payment & Security
Last updated: May 14, 2026
At Vanorelle, we want every transaction to feel safe and transparent. Here's how our payment process works and how we protect your information.
1. Secure Checkout (256-bit SSL)
Our website, vanorelle.com, uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology with 256-bit encryption to protect your information at every step. All sensitive data — including passwords and credit card details — is encrypted during transmission.
You can verify our secure connection by:
- Looking for the closed padlock icon in your browser address bar
- Confirming the site address shows HTTPS at the start of the URL
2. Accepted Payment Methods
We accept the following payment methods at checkout:
The payment methods displayed at checkout will match the methods listed here. If a method isn't listed, it isn't currently accepted.
3. Currency
All prices on Vanorelle are listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD). Final charges — including applicable taxes (GST, HST, PST, or QST based on your shipping province or territory) — are displayed at checkout before you confirm your order.
4. Taxes
Applicable Canadian sales taxes are calculated automatically at checkout based on your shipping address.
5. PCI DSS Compliance
The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is the global security standard for businesses handling credit and debit card information. It was created to increase controls around cardholder data and reduce payment fraud.
6. Your Payment Information
Your full card number is never accessible to us. When your purchase is completed, we only see:
- Your billing information
- Your shipping information
- Your order details
- The last 4 digits of your card (for reference only)
Full card details are securely tokenized and handled exclusively by our PCI-DSS compliant payment processors. We do not rent, sell, or share your personal or payment information with anyone for marketing purposes without your consent. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
7. Payment Authorization
When you place an order, your payment is authorized at the time of order placement and typically captured (charged) when your order ships. If your order cannot be fulfilled, the authorization is released and no charge appears on your statement.
By providing payment information, you confirm that:
- The payment information you provide is true, correct, and complete
- You are authorized to use the selected payment method
- Charges incurred will be honoured by your card issuer or payment provider
- You will pay all charges at the posted prices, including taxes and any applicable shipping costs
8. Failed or Declined Payments
If your payment is declined:
- We will notify you by email
- Your order will not be processed until payment is successfully completed
- Please contact your bank or payment provider, or try a different payment method
9. Refunds
Refunds are processed back to the original payment method used at the time of purchase. See our Refund & Return Policy for full details on eligibility, timing, and process.
10. Fraud Prevention
To protect both our customers and our business, we use advanced fraud detection tools provided by Shopify and our payment processors. In some cases, we may contact you to verify your order before processing. Suspicious or fraudulent orders may be cancelled and refunded at our sole discretion.
